🌱Made these teardrop shaped dangle earrings the end of May 2021.
Model A B and C: baby pink 4 x 1.8cm
Model D- I : beige white / 4 x 1.8 cm ( it supposed to be pink but due to firing temperature too high where the shelf was placed, the firing result more close to white to pale pink this time)
Like all my porcelain pieces, individually handmade. Gold splashed effect reacted differently on each piece and gold dipped look on the bottom, painted by hand so never the same result on each piece.
Same design but turquoise:
Also, when I hand twisted and rolled the clay, sometimes you can see some stretched and pulled marks
Material: Porcelain / gold plated stainless steel
⭐️Please note that porcelain is whitest, lightest and strongest clay compare to other ceramic family members, However, handling them with care will help them to live long ( for thousands years ) and happily as long as you don’t drop them 😂.
🌱The metal part is gold plated not solid gold so the gold will come off over time to become stainless steel color, so avoid all chemical as much as possible to last longer ( swimming pool, oil, perfume etc)
All earrings are one-of-a-kind and carefully
made in my studio. So there are slight variations in size, color, or shape may occur compared to the picture.
Also Due to many variations in monitors and browsers, actual product colors may vary from colors shown on your monitor.
I do my best to represent colors accurately in the pictures.😃
How I make porcelaine earrings?
I make the shape with Quebec local Clay and wait a day or two until they are fully dry.
Fire them in a bisque fire temp for a few hours, wait until they are cool down.
I sand and smooth the texture
I Wait until they are bone dry, I apply carefully a layer of transparent glaze.
Putting them back to kiln and fire another 10 hours in a row and wait for a day to cool down.
Finally painting the 22kt Gold luster on where the glazed applied and wait a few hours to dry then put back to the kiln for the final firing.
Assembling, packing..etc :) really really long process but worth it
◆Please note that porcelain is a delicate material that should be handled with care. It can be easily cleaned by using a soft cloth and soapy water.
Please note the back of earring is not glazed or colored ( where they lay on the shelf)
