Big heart shaped dangle porcelain earrings

Handpainted heart shaped porcelain earrings are one of the kind and eye-catching.


They are 2 pieces assembled together , somewhat heavy for some sensitive ears.( I have to cut them thick and but strong enough ( not warp to survive 2 weeks/3 firings )

Size: 5.8 cm x 3.5 cm


Every piece of my jewelry is handmade by me and never two pieces are the same. Back is not glazed.



They are fired 3 times in total in a kiln of 1300 degree for more than 25 hours. ( two weeks to complete )

Some times the liquid gold runs a bit on reverse side, also clay slabs has been hand rolled and flattened, some marks are expected to show on the reverse side.

How I make porcelaine earrings?

I make the shape with Quebec locally supplied Clay and wait a day or two until they are fully dry.

Fire them in a bisque fire temp for a few hours, wait until they are cool down.
I sand and smooth the texture

I Wait until they are bone dry, I apply carefully a layer of transparent glaze.

Putting them back to kiln and fire another 10 hours in a row and wait for a day to cool down.

Finally painting the 22kt Gold luster on where the glazed applied and wait a few hours to dry then put back to the kiln for the final firing.

Assembling, packing..etc :) really really long process but worth it



◆Please note that porcelain is a delicate material that should be handled with care. It can be easily cleaned by using a soft cloth and soapy water.

Please note the back of earring is not glazed or colored ( where they lay on the shelf)
