Symmetrical green olden plants porcelain dangle earrings

☁️ Those Xmas green plants porcelain earrings were made by me in Montreal in the end of November 2020, dainty and lightweight to wear and you can use either for special occasion or everyday.

🌸 Model A, B,C,D,E are the same size. ( metal attachment included)

Please notice that it’s same green glaze but when I applied on porcelain body, each of them reacted different in the kiln according to the temperature and on shelf place.

Material: Porcelain / gold plated stainless steel

⭐️Please note that clay has been hand twisted, flattened so inevitably there are marks of hand rolling, and gold sometimes runs a bit onto the reverse side.


⭐️Please note that porcelain is the whitest, lightest and strongest clay compared to other ceramic family members, However, handling them with care will help them to live long ( for thousands of years ) and happily as long as you don’t drop them.

🌱The metal part is gold plated not solid gold so the gold will come off over time to become the stainless steel colour, so avoid all chemicals as much as possible to last longer ( swimming pool, oil, perfume etc) .

All earrings are one-of-a-kind and carefully made in my studio. Slight variations in size, colour, or shape may occur compared to the picture.

Also due to many variations in monitors and browsers, the actual product colours may vary from colours shown on your monitor.
I do my best to represent colours accurately in the pictures.😃

How do I make porcelaine earrings?

I make the shape with local Clay from Quebec and wait a day or two until they are fully dry.

The shapes are fired to bisque fire temp for a few hours, then once they cool down I sand and smooth the texture.

I wait until they are bone dry, then carefully apply a layer of transparent glaze.

I put them back in the kiln and fire another 10 hours in a row for the glaze firing then wait for a day to cool down.

Finally I paint the 22KT liquid Gold lustre over the glazed areas and wait a few hours for drying then put back to the kiln for the final gold firing.

Assembling, packing...etc.,: a really long process but worth it because we then see the beauty of the transformed clay.


◆Please note that porcelain is a delicate material that should be handled with care. It can be easily cleaned by using a soft cloth and soapy water.

Please note the back of earring is not glazed or coloured (where they lay on the kiln shelf)

◆PACKAGING◆
All jewelry is carefully wrapped in a bubble wapping paper then packed in a jewelry box (to avoid any shipping damages).
